This Nurse Manager is assigned to the Nursing and Patient Care Service. The section, care line, or department description and patient population served is as defined in applicable Scope of Service. The Manager's nursing practice involves twenty-four hour accountability for prudent resource management in the delivery of safe patient care by all VA staff in her/his assigned area/program including VA Nursing personnel, VA contract, students, and VA per diem staff. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
