The Geriatrics & Extended Care (GEC) Clinical Administrator is a highly complex position and accountable to the Associate Chief of Staff, GEC. The GEC Clinical Administrator is responsible for the coordination and quality management of all GEC programs at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS). The Geriatrics & Extended Care (GEC) service at CVHCS includes the Community Living Center (CLC), Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC), Hospice & Palliative Care, GERI-PACT, Geriatrics Consultation Clinic, Transitional Care Team, Contract Nursing Home program, and several Non-Institutional Care programs.
